Love love this podcast! Paula keeps it real and the conversations are great! I miss her on tv but this podcast is even better! I always look forward to Tuesdays hoping it will become an everyday podcast ?
I absolutely love this podcast. Paulas voice is so soothing and easy to listen to but the guess and content purely inspirational and uplifting. I love it!
I have loved all the Paula Faris podcasts! The last one with Chris Tomlin was amazing. The sentence by Paula , "You can use your gifts and talents on a myriad of vocational branches" was so insightful! As a stay at home mom transitioning to what's next, I have been focusing on what ONE thing is next. Thank you Paula for showing me it doesn't have to be just one thing!
Such great stories and encouragement. I feel so refreshed after each one. Each person brings something to me that is helpful in this season of life. I look forward to listening. Thank you Paula!
Everything I hear on these podcast I can take something away and apply to my own life!
Loved! loved! loved! your visit with your mom and daughter!! What a precious "mommy" you have and a wise young lady for a daughter!! You are blessed!! (I might even be a little envious)There were so many little nuggets of wisdom from all of you that I am going to have to listen again to write them down!As a recent widow at 59, your mom's words spoke to my heart!! I would love to sit by her feet and listen to more!! Praying she is doing better and recovering so she can continue to be used by her Savior!!I have enjoyed all your episodes and look forward to many more!! May God continue to guide and bless you as you take each step of faith to follow His leading!!
I've been a Paula fan for some time and absolutely love her interview style-laid back, relaxed, but to the point when needed. I've enjoyed each episode and cannot wait for what the future brings!
"Sometimes change is chosen and sometimes it's chosen for us." No truer words summarize the life experience. Everything about this episode with Paula Faris and Candace Cameron Bure is so relatable, authentic and pure! We grow up with hopes, dreams and goals and we work toward attaining those dreams but what happens when we reach the goal only to find out that our expectations do not match the reality of the achievement? Who wants to admit that what they spent a great deal of time attaining is no longer a vibrational match for them? Everything shared here was so relatable to my own journey. It is only with age and growth (and not all growth feels good) that we learn that it's ok to change your path. I personally went through a very challenging experience at the very last corporate job that I had before deciding to leave corporate life for good. I am so grateful now for that experience but when I was going through it I felt like I was drowning. I was very fortunate to have a few close friends that were my rock and gave me comfort through the ordeal. I was faced with continuing to lose my spirit or walk away from a very well paying job that was sucking the life out of me. I was so grateful for my loving husband who supported me when I finally said that I had to walk away from that role. I felt like such a failure and it took me a long time to realize that I did what was absolutely necessary for my survival and my mental health. At the time that I went through this (about 6 years ago) people didn't just leave high paying jobs without a plan or at the very least another job. I felt like I carried a dirty little secret around- along with a stigma. Thank you to Paula and Candace for bringing light to the fact that nurturing your soul will always be more important than a prestigious job and if it is meant for you, the opportunity will present itself again. I cannot wait to hear upcoming podcasts!
If you're looking for something to lift your spirits and something that is light but so impactful, this is the podcast. I listen to podcasts all the time but this is my first, ever review. In these crazy times, this kind of podcast is just what we need. I find myself pausing the podcast to jot down quotes. So many wonderful nuggets of wisdom from her guests and Paula herself. So happy I found this podcast. It's literally like listening in and being apart of friendly conversation. Bravo, Paula. Well done!
We have recently moved because of my husband's job but as a teacher I am finishing out the year so I'm commuting along with my 5th grader to finish her year. We look forward to the weekly podcasts. I'm empowered as a mom and woman while at the same time my daughter gets to hear strong women talking about their faith and walk with God through life's journeys. Love it!!
