Screen free is possible! Arlene is very motivating and inspirational having raised kids to the teen years without a smart phone. She and her guests share so many nuggets of wisdom that I have replayed episodes many times to fully let the information sink in! This podcast is a God send. I'm a new mom to a 10 month old and I feel like I've completely lost who I am. Not only in motherhood, but in life. This podcast has helped me so much, and I found it less than a week ago. Thank you so much for this podcast, Arlene.
Video games
These two episodes with Melanie Hempe are going to be life-changing for our family. I am a little terrified to think of removing video games from my almost 13-yr old boy's life. But the signs of addiction are there and he is so grumpy!! I'm seeing his sweet-side less and less. And my 9 yr old boy gets "bored" as soon as he gets off his iPod. Our 11 yr old daughter won't care about this much. In fact, she'll probably rejoice as she'll have her brothers back to play with!! Thank you! I am excited and scared for this journey. But I can see and feel that it is the best thing for our family!

I really enjoy these podcasts and get a lot out of them.I've been married for 13 and have two young children.We have a good marriage but I have found myself (against my bestintentions) letting the kids sap all my energy and attention and my husbandhas been on the backburner. I'm trying to make an effort to make him numberone again. I really appreciate the insight Arlene sharse, and the practicalsuggestions.
